Ceramic Coating vs. Wax: What's Right for You?
The real differences between traditional wax, ceramic spray sealants, and full ceramic coatings — and how to choose.

Traditional wax
Carnauba and synthetic waxes deliver a warm, deep gloss but typically last 4–8 weeks. They're a great option if you love the ritual of frequent hand-application.
Ceramic spray sealants
SiO₂ spray sealants — the same technology we use in our Refine Wash — bond to the clear coat and last around 3 months per application.
They deliver excellent hydrophobic behavior with far less effort than a full ceramic coating install.
Full ceramic coatings
A professional ceramic coating cures into a semi-permanent layer that can last multiple years. It requires proper paint prep and is a bigger upfront investment.
For most daily drivers, our 6-month sealant in the PAM Signature package hits the sweet spot between cost and protection.
How to choose
If you keep your car for 2+ years and park outside, invest in ceramic. If you love hand-detailing on weekends, wax is perfectly fine. When in doubt, ask us — we'll recommend based on how you actually use the vehicle.
